About The Wale Street Arch

The Bo-Kaap Cultural Hub is a multi-use community facility that incorporates meeting & event spaces, a traditional tea room and a Cape Malay cultural exhibition. 'The Hub' as referred to by locals also hosts a daily soup kitchen and many other social welfare programs and annual community events.

Help to restart the Amal feeding scheme.

In 2020 at the onset of COVID, local Bo-Kaap residents came together to address the lack of basic food provisions for the poor living in Bo-Kaap and surrounding City districts. The scheme fed 200 to 300 people daily but stopped in 2024. With your help we would like to restart this program to get warm meals to people in a dignified way.
